eBeam the new face of the Blackboard

Tired of the same old chalk board? Are your students bored and inattentive due to the over exposure throughout their entire school career to the chalk and talk way? Well, fear not because as main stream technology advances so does technology created for the classroom. The piece of technology referred to in this case is the eBeam virtual white board. Created and sold by Luida Inc. this technology is portable, easy to utilise and most importantly it is found engaging by students.
The systems comes out of the box with a stylus, a receiver, cable and plugs needed and different attachments which can be used for different surfaces. The setup process is fairly simple with an intermediate knowledge of PC software and hardware needed to setup, which in the event of a lack of an installation CD and also online video tutorial exist. It can be used with almost any device whether laptop or desktop and only needs to be installed, it also requires a projector and has blue tooth allowing for wireless link up to your PC.

After completing the initial setup and install the utilisation of the eBeam system is as easy an limited to one's imagination. This is as a result of the fact that it operates exactly as a black board but with added features. it can be incorporated into all lessons however with the added features of multimedia such as sound and videos. All of the work and keystrokes (this refers to every time a change is made in a document) can be saved, this saves time for records and evaluation. Notes can also be emailed to students or replayed for those who miss class on any particular day.
This system also serves to bring the excitement back into the classroom as it engages students. Today's children are referred to as children of the technological age, so it should be no surprise that the gravitate towards anything having to do with technology. As early as three and in some cases two years old, they are able to open and use simple apps on devices such as cellphones mp3 players and the PC. The chalk and talk way therefore does not stimulate or motivate them to learn, but give them an eBeam interactive white board and you immediately receive their undivided attention. They become inquisitive and that my dear friends is half the battle as it is our goals as educators to foster a love for knowledge in our young wards and no greater seed can be sown than that of curiosity.
What, you've still got that chalk and duster, put it away and journey the eBeam blackboard into the new wave of the future. So now you know and knowing is half of the battle. The eBeam interactive whiteboard it may already be in a school near you.
